We have recently found a critical issue introduced in SANsymphony-V 9.0 PSP3 and we have issued an update to address this critical problem. SANsymphony-V 9.0 PSP4 Update2 was released today and should be applied as soon as possible.
The Update can be downloaded from the DataCore Support Download site on FAQ 1419 (login required).
The issue can result in an offline Disk Pool rendering your data unavailable hence it is mandatory to apply for anyone using SANsymphony-V 9.0 PSP3 through SANsymphony-V 9.0 PSP4 Update 1. Please make sure you read and follow the installation instructions in the Release Notes.
IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES: Please use a local administrator account when performing the upgrade and DO NOT manually stop the DataCore Executive Service from the Microsoft Services applet.
[Update]
Dies ist der Fehler, der in Update 2 korrigiert wurde:
Critical Fixes
Problem: A disk pool with all healthy physical disks could be marked offline in scenarios where both virtual disk reclamation and migration is occurring.
Cause: A timing issue existed, resulting in two different SAUs (Storage Allocation Unit) illegally pointing to the same disk offset.
Resolution: Update the disk pool SAU allocation information before allowing a migration to complete.
